The New Rites System

Rite System is mostly like a title in your profile , something that you could show-off to other players on how progressive you are. It's like when someone see's your Rites , they'll think twice to attack you.

This is the message from Will Yum Morgan in the Yakuza Lords discussion regarding the New Rites System :

Calling all Lords!

Finally, a way to show something for your progress!

The Rites system, introduced today, offers a vast set of hand guards for your prize katana that can be earned for doing many things in the game. When you tell your friends you’re the strongest Yakuza Lord around, you’ll have something to back it up. For simple example, the “Seasoned Samurai” hand guard is earned by reaching level 100. Sharpen your mind, your wits, and your katana and get to work!

There will be many tiers of Rites reached by advancing your character’s level and earning more Rites. Each tier that you reach will offer a new set of Rites more challenging and diverse that the last. To show your status to other Yakuza, the highest tier that you have reached will get appended to your name. Example: Ender, Wakashu.

To check out the Rites that you or others have earned, simply head to the character profile. If you’re looking at your own profile, you will be able to use the new Rites tab (just above your name, level and classification) to view the full readout of all of the Rites you have received and those that you have left to earn.

Also, when visiting your Home page, you’ll be greeted each time with the 4 most recently earned Rites and the next 4 that you should be able to most easily earn.

Since some of these Rites can be earned by simply making a character or doing a few Jobs, those of you who have put a lot of effort into excelling at the game already will get many of the Rites right away. Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty more to do. :)

With your task clear, it is time to un-sheath your blade and set out for power and glory!

Regards,

William
